Questions, answered
The things men ask before they call.
No jargon. Straight answers. If your question isn't here, call and ask it.
-
What does it cost?
Sessions are $185 to $225, cash pay, depending on the type and length of session. I also accept insurance. We confirm your exact rate before we start, so there are no surprises.
-
Do you take my insurance?
I'm finalizing the list of plans I'm in network with. Call 919-480-1919 and we'll check yours right away. If I'm out of network for your plan, many policies still reimburse a good portion of the fee, and I can show you how to file.

How does telehealth work, and who can you see?
Telehealth is a secure video session, same work as in person, no commute and no waiting room. I can see clients who are physically located in North Carolina. If you live or are staying in NC, you're covered.
-
I've never done therapy. What happens first?
The first session is a conversation, not an interrogation. You tell me what's going on in your own words, I listen, and together we get clear on what you want and a plan to get there. No couch-and-clipboard, no homework you didn't agree to.
-
Is this confidential?
Yes. What you say in session stays between us, within the limits the law requires, such as a serious risk of harm. One note about the website: please don't share private health details through the contact form. Anything clinical happens inside secure, confidential channels.
-
Do you only work with men?
My practice is built for adult men. Couples work is available when you're my client and your relationship is part of what we're working on. If you're not sure you're the right fit, call and we'll talk it through.

How do I get started?
Two ways: head to the Book Now page, or just call 919-480-1919. That's the whole first step. You don't have to have it figured out before you reach out.
When you're ready
When you're ready, the door is open.
Booking takes two minutes. The first session is where it starts to feel lighter. You don't have to know what to say yet.
